We live in an urban forest. Construction is part of our lives. Roads are widened, houses are replaced with BIGGER houses, and the trees are destroyed. Neglect results in invasive vines killing trees. It is not enough to plant more trees. We must protect and care for the existing trees and create new forested habitat. Trees cannot speak for themselves so we need to Speak for the Trees.

Fairfax Tree Stewards:

• Meet with County officials and staff .
• Write persuasive letters and comments on proposed policies.
• Speak at public hearings and meetings. 
• Work with other environmental organizations to protect our habitat.
