Our Work: Education

Education for Youth

Central to our mission is educating the public on the benefits and care of trees.  Our message begins with yout: teaching children to understand and appreciate the importance of trees in their lives and share it with others.  As adults they should retain this knowledge and act on it.

Education for the Public

Everyone needs to understand the value of trees and how to care for them. We teach best practices using the International Society of Arboriculture  (ISA) literature and simple graphics like "How to Kill a Tree."

We work with homeowners and Homeowners Associations to identify and remedy issues with their trees. Concepts like "Right Tree Right Place," how to plant a tree, and  proper maintenance help prevent future problems.

We make presentations, both live and virtual, for groups on all aspects of trees and tree care. For example, "Care for Mature Trees" in an established neighborhood.
